I wear my Correct Toes when active or weight-bearing. Is it recommended to wear them when sitting for long periods of time?
Thank you for your excellent question, Peter! We appreciate you reaching out about this important topic, and we’re happy to provide our thoughts on the subject here. The short answer is, yes, we do recommend that you wear your Correct Toes even when sitting for long periods of time. That being said, it’s important to know that using the device in a weight-bearing situation (i.e., standing, walking, running, etc.) will confer maximum foot health benefits, including a speedier straightening and realignment of your toes, a quicker resolution of longstanding foot and toe problems, and a faster strengthening of the muscles and tissues that support your feet.
So, you’ll still be experiencing many of the benefits associated with using Correct Toes when you’re at your desk or lounging at home, but you should anticipate a bit slower progress toward your foot health goals if this is the only time that you use the device. Of course, and to the greatest extent possible, we encourage you to be up and moving around (using the device inside appropriately wide toe box footwear) to enjoy all the health and quality of life benefits that come with physical activity. It sounds like this is already an important part of your life, and so we applaud you for that and encourage all Correct Toes users to be physically active on a regular—daily, if possible—basis.
We hope this feedback is helpful! Please let us know if you have any follow-up questions or thoughts; we’re happy to help however we can!
Yours in Foot Health,
