  • A Platform for Improving Foot & Lower Leg Strength

The Human Locomotion ToePro foot and ankle exercise platform is a cleverly designed tool that you can use at home or at the office to improve the health and function of your feet and toes. The portable and easy-to-use ToePro—designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA—allows you to strengthen your foot and lower leg muscles in their lengthened positions, which results in a nearly fourfold increase in strength relative to conventional foot and lower leg exercises, such as towel curls, marble pick-ups, and other exercises. Indeed, the device’s 10 degree sideward tilt lengthens the outer leg muscles, the 10 degree backward tilt lengthens the calf and arch muscles, and the crescent-shaped elevation in the front of the ToePro lengthens the toe muscles.

Strengthens Key Muscles, Helps Prevent Injuries and Falls

The small muscles located in your foot and around your ankle are vital for gait, athletic performance, and general stability. Strengthening these muscles can play a large role in enhancing your musculoskeletal function and preventing injuries. Use the ToePro to help improve balance, increase arch height, enhance jump performance, and increase gait velocity. Or use the ToePro to stabilize your toe and arch muscles while walking, jumping, or running to prevent problems such as bunions, stress fractures, and Achilles tendinitis. Maintaining toe strength is also important in older individuals, as toe weakness correlates strongly with an increased risk of falling (every 1 percent increase in force generated beneath the big toe reduces a senior’s risk of falling by 7 percent).

Works Great As-Is or in Combination With Other Helpful Footgear

Strength gains while exercising are angle-specific (i.e., strength gains are greatest when muscles are worked in the joint angles that are used during exercise), and so, to be effective, foot exercises work best when the positions used while walking and running are duplicated—an important outcome that the ToePro enables. Consider using your ToePro alongside other foot gym tools, such as the BlackBoard Basic, BlackBoard ToeBands, and the BlackBoard Meta Trigger, to build a more resilient foot. Also consider pairing your ToePro with other helpful footgear, such as Correct Toes, Injinji toe socks, Pedag metatarsal pads, Naboso insoles, and men’s or women's foot-healthy footwear, to rehabilitate your feet and realize lasting foot health.
