A Sporty & Super Lightweight Athletic Shoe

The Xero Speed Force II is an ultralightweight, ultraminimalist athletic shoe with a sock-like fit and feel. With its super-breathable upper and relatively thin sole, this performance athletic shoe offers a close-to-barefoot experience, which is ideal for those who seek maximum ground feel and tactile feedback. Touted as a racing flat, the Speed Force II also works great for road running, light trail running, walking, hiking, gym workouts, CrossFit, slacklining, and other active pursuits.

Wide Toe Box, Zero-Drop Platform, Flexible Sole

The Xero Speed Force II incorporates several distinct design features that help stabilize your foot and ankle and build foot strength, including a wide toe box, zero-drop platform, and supremely flexible sole. The grippy dual-direction chevron tread pattern of this vegan shoe helps you feel sure-footed, and its low stack height places your foot closer to the ground, minimizing the likelihood of ankle rolls or sprains. Indeed, the Xero Speed Force II is an unobtrusive shoe that lets your foot function naturally.

A Shoe for Experienced Users of Minimalist Footwear

Being an ultraminimalist shoe, the Xero Speed Force II is most appropriate for those who are already accustomed to using minimalist shoes or athletes who wish to use this shoe as a training tool. To get the very most out of your pair of Speed Force II athletic shoes, consider using them in combination with other helpful footgear, including Correct Toes, Injinji toe socks, Pedag metatarsal pads, and Naboso insoles. Each Xero Speed Force II shoe weighs about 6.5 oz.

Note: If you are new to using Xero footwear, we recommend that you start in slowly, gradually building up your wear-time and giving your body the chance to adapt to the thinner soles and the increased workload on your feet.

  • To get the most out of your Xero Speed Force II shoes, the manufacturer recommends that you order your normal US shoe size. HOWEVER, because we recommend that women order the men's version of this shoe (to achieve the greatest possible toe box width), simply adjust the sizing down by 1.5 to determine the comparable size in the men's version. For example, if you normally wear a women's US size 8 shoe, consider ordering a 6.5 in the men's Xero Speed Force II instead.

If you're on the fence about what size to order, consider ordering both sizes and then simply return the size that doesn't fit as well for a refund. If you have concerns about sizing, feel free to contact us or Xero customer service.

Sizing Tip #1: To create additional roominess within the shoe, we suggest removing the included (optional) shoe liner/insole; this action does not, in any way, affect the performance of the shoe. Optionally, and to enhance balance, posture, agility, and general foot/body awareness, you might consider adding thin, flexible Naboso insoles instead.

Sizing Tip #2: Correct Toes toe spacers will often add width and length to the foot. If you’re planning to wear Correct Toes with your footwear, we recommend sizing up, especially if you are on the border between sizes.
