  • A Versatile Shoe for Casual & Athletic Use

Durable, grippy, comfortable, and foot-healthy, the Astral Loyak is a fine example of functional footwear. Possessing a sticky Flex Grip outsole, an indestructible hydrophobic canvas upper, and an unobtrusive stretch-mesh tongue, the impressive Loyak can be used as both a casual shoe for outings around town or as a reliable outdoor adventure shoe that works great on land or in the water. The Loyak is also an excellent option for those seeking a dependable and versatile travel footwear option.

Wide Toe Box, Flexible Sole, Great Ground Feel

Built with balanced geometry, the low stack height Astral Loyak incorporates a level platform that encourages your foot and ankle to be maximally stable, and its wide toe box affords your toes sufficient room to splay. The highly flexible sole of this attractive minimalist shoe allows for excellent ground feel and helps you build a more robust foot with each and every step you take. The Loyak's unique outsole material also provides you with maximum grip for optimal traction on a variety of surfaces.

Can Be Used With Other Helpful Natural Footgear

The Astral Loyak pairs nicely with a wide variety of other helpful natural footgear. Use your Loyaks in combination with Correct Toes toe spacers to realign your toes and build a healthier overall foot. Other beneficial items that you can use concurrently with these foot-health-positive shoes include Injinji toe socks and Pedag metatarsal pads. We also recommend replacing the included (optional) liner with thin, textured Naboso insoles. Each lightweight Astral Loyak shoe weighs about 7.5 oz.

Note: If you are new to using Astral footwear, we recommend that you start in slowly, gradually building up your wear-time and giving your body the chance to adapt to the thinner soles and the increased workload on your feet.

  • To get the most out of your Astral Loyak shoes, the manufacturer recommends that you order your normal US shoe size. For example, if you normally wear a men's US size 11 shoe, consider ordering an 11 in the Astral Loyak. If you are between sizes, order up to the next available size.

If you're on the fence about what size to order, consider ordering both sizes and then simply return the size that doesn't fit as well for a refund. If you have concerns about sizing, feel free to contact us or Astral customer service.

Sizing Tip #1: To create additional roominess within the shoe, we suggest removing the included (optional) shoe liner/insole; this action does not, in any way, affect the performance of the shoe. Optionally, and to enhance balance, posture, agility, and general foot/body awareness, you might consider adding thin, flexible Naboso insoles instead.

Sizing Tip #2: Correct Toes toe spacers will often add width and length to the foot. If you’re planning to wear Correct Toes with your footwear, we recommend sizing up, especially if you are on the border between sizes.
