A Lightweight & Waterproof Minimalist Trail Shoe
The Xero Scrambler Trail Low WP is a lightweight, waterproof trail shoe that blends durability, agility, and natural foot freedom for an unparalleled off-road experience. Designed for hikers, trail runners, and outdoor enthusiasts who refuse to compromise on comfort or performance, this shoe features a flexible, healthy-foot-shaped design that allows your toes to splay and engage naturally with uneven terrain. Its zero-drop platform promotes optimal alignment and balance, while the aggressively lugged outsole provides outstanding traction on everything from wet roots to loose scree. Whether you're tackling a rugged backcountry trail or moving swiftly over varied terrain, the Scrambler Trail Low WP keeps you grounded, protected, and ready for adventure.
Flexible, Breathable & Lightweight
Unlike traditional waterproof footwear that can feel stiff and restrictive, the Xero Scrambler Trail Low WP maintains exceptional flexibility and breathability while keeping your feet dry. The moisture-wicking liner, gusseted tongue, and water-resistant upper—which incorporates XeroTex waterproof technology—work in tandem to repel moisture without compromising airflow, helping to keep your feet cool, dry, and comfortable on long treks. At about 10 oz. per shoe, this ultralight hiker ensures that you move naturally and efficiently, reducing fatigue and allowing for greater ground feedback. With a wide toe box that respects natural foot anatomy, this shoe encourages active foot engagement, enhancing both stability and proprioception on technical trails.
Works Well With Other Helpful Natural Footgear
True to Xero Shoes' commitment to natural movement, the Scrambler Trail Low WP enables you to experience the outdoors the way nature intended—without sacrificing protection or durability. The combination of high-performance materials (including a sturdy ripstop upper), a barefoot-friendly design, and a fit that prioritizes comfort makes this shoe an ideal choice for those who want to explore further and feel more connected to the ground beneath them. The Scrambler Trail Low WP also works well in combination with other helpful natural footgear for synergistic foot health benefits, including Correct Toes, Injinji toe socks, Pedag metatarsal pads or Strutz Pro foot pads, Naboso insoles, and Zensah compression leg sleeves.
Note: If you are new to using Xero footwear, we recommend that you start in slowly, gradually building up your wear-time and giving your body the chance to adapt to the thinner soles and the increased workload on your feet.

To get the most out of your Xero Scrambler Trail Low WP shoes, the manufacturer recommends that you order your normal US shoe size. HOWEVER, because we recommend that women order the men's version of this shoe (to achieve the greatest possible toe box width), simply adjust the sizing down by 1.5 to determine the comparable size in the men's version. For example, if you normally wear a women's US size 8 shoe, consider ordering a 6.5 in the men's Xero Scrambler Trail Low WP instead.
If you're on the fence about what size to order, consider ordering both sizes and then simply return the size that doesn't fit as well for a refund. If you have concerns about sizing, feel free to contact us or Xero customer service.
Sizing Tip #1: To create additional roominess within the shoe, we suggest removing the included (optional) shoe liner/insole; this action does not, in any way, affect the performance of the shoe. Optionally, and to enhance balance, posture, agility, and general foot/body awareness, you might consider adding thin, flexible Naboso insoles instead.
Sizing Tip #2: Correct Toes toe spacers will often add width and length to the foot. If you’re planning to wear Correct Toes with your footwear, we recommend sizing up, especially if you are on the border between sizes. -
