  • A Lightweight & Healthy-Foot-Shaped Casual Shoe

The Lems Chillum is a zero-drop, wide toe box casual shoe that incorporates a mixed-material upper and a flexible, air-injected rubber sole. The attractive Chillum, which comes with an optional (removable) cork insole, works great for around-town activities, including everything from running errands to spending time out and about with friends. The lightweight nature of this shoe (each Lems Chillum shoe weighs about 8 oz.) and its easy packability make it a favorite among savvy travelers.

Low Stack Height, Wide Toe Box, Level Sole

Built on the same outsole as the Lems Boulder Boot, the Chillum possesses an upper composed of canvas, wool, and microfiber, which provides texture, breathability, durability, and optimal comfort. The low stack height, wide toe box nature of these foot-healthy shoes means that your feet will be able to function as nature intended; that is, with toes free to lengthen and splay and with the ability to sense (and react to) the ground beneath your feet.

Pairs Great With Correct Toes & Other Footgear

The Lems Chillum works great in combination with other helpful natural footgear. The ample space within the Chillum’s toe box allows for the use of Correct Toes toe spacers for most sets of feet, particularly if you remove the optional insole that comes with the shoe. Other beneficial footgear that pairs nicely with the Lems Chillum includes Injinji toe socks, Pedag metatarsal pads, and thin and textured Naboso proprioceptive insoles.

Note: If you are new to using Lems footwear, we recommend that you start in slowly, gradually building up your wear-time and giving your body the chance to adapt to the thinner soles and the increased workload on your feet.

  • To get the most out of your Lems Chillum shoes, the manufacturer recommends that you order your normal US shoe size. For example, if you normally wear a men's US size 11 shoe, consider ordering an 11 in the Lems Chillum.

If you're on the fence about what size to order, consider ordering both sizes and then simply return the size that doesn't fit as well for a refund. If you have concerns about sizing, feel free to contact us or Lems customer service.

Sizing Tip #1: To create additional roominess within the shoe, we suggest removing the included (optional) shoe liner/insole; this action does not, in any way, affect the performance of the shoe. Optionally, and to enhance balance, posture, agility, and general foot/body awareness, you might consider adding thin, flexible Naboso insoles instead.

Sizing Tip #2: Correct Toes toe spacers will often add width and length to the foot. If you’re planning to wear Correct Toes with your footwear, we recommend sizing up, especially if you are on the border between sizes.
