I've done the outrageously expensive orthotics, and no, insurance didn't pay for them. I've done the cheap-o's, I've done the ones the doctor made FOR ME. They all helped only temporarily and only helped so long as I wore them religiously, and often with athletic shoes which I cannot wear to work. They all have the arch supports in them. I wore the Be Reals all day yesterday with my Correct Toes. I also did my kettlebell training in them this morning, and I must say they are awesome. My favorite shoes the last few years have been the Lems, and also the Altras, for different activities, but these Be Reals have the largest toe box and are the best for wearing Correct Toes. My bunion has plenty of room, too. The shoes fit perfectly and are true to size. There will also be plenty of room for socks when the weather gets cooler. The sole is difficult to explain, but it is superior to others. It feels the most like being barefoot, but the little bit of traction does make a difference. I'm amazed! I'm amazed! I'm amazed! I'm turning 66 next week and I can walk for miles and my feet don't hurt. I used to wear so much cushioning in my shoes that I had to buy a half size larger to accommodate the padding. Even then, I hurt. I wanted to say thanks for the quick service on my recent order and provide you with a little feedback now that I have had the chance to use my “Correct Toes” for a couple of weeks. In 2009, I had a cheilectomy and Moberg osteotomy on both feet after suffering from hallux rigidus for years. The surgery was very successful and after healing, I was able to begin playing tennis again, although still with some discomfort. I’ve been wearing the Correct Toes device for two weeks at all times that I don’t have on shoes (including sleeping in them), and the difference has been profound. My feet no longer ache while I play, and there is little to no discomfort at all after I’m done. Due to the change in the geometry of my feet after the surgery, I had begun to develop a mallet toe on my right foot, and thanks to Correct Toes, the issue is no longer getting worse, and the pain in that toe has almost completely diminished. I have suffered from plantar fasciosis for about 25 years. I have quit running and periodically have relief. However, in September my heel started hurting again, and I couldn’t seem to find the right fix. I stumbled onto your website and read about the toe spacers [Correct Toes]. I have recently had three procedures on my right foot. Though I can't tell you the names of each procedure, I can tell you I had my bunion removed, bone removed from my three middle toes to straighten them, and some metatarsal bones cut and pinned and stapled in place. I bought a pair of the Lems Primal 2 (Thanks for helping get the right size the first time by the way). I went to work last night for the first time in 2 months wearing my new Primal 2 shoes with only a toe spacer on the right foot. But, on the left foot, I wore the "Correct Toes" all night. It was very comfortable. My doctors tell me there is nothing that can be done to correct the bunion on my left foot other than surgery. I am convinced that "Correct Toes" will keep my bunion from getting worse. As soon as my right foot heals some more I'll be wearing "Correct Toes" on that foot too because I need those toes to spread.
