A High-Performance Shoe for Hiking & Trail Running

The Xero TerraFlex is a high-performance minimalist trail running and walking shoe that protects your foot while still allowing it to flex, bend, and move in a natural way. The TerraFlex incorporates a padded and breathable mesh upper for increased comfort as well as lugged soles for additional traction on a variety of surfaces and trail features. With its foot-shaped design, zero drop platform, and rugged, yet flexible sole, this shoe is the perfect blend of form and function. The Xero TerraFlex packs away easily, making it simple to transport to and from your off-road adventures.

    Lightweight, Vegan, Durable, Comfortable

This attractive, durable, and lightweight vegan athletic shoe has a 6 mm FeelTrue sole, 4 mm lugs, and an optional (i.e., removable) 2 mm insole. It also possesses a Tough Tech toe bumper, a ballistic mesh upper, and 3 mm of embedded Barefoam in the sole—three features that enhance both foot comfort and foot protection. The TerraFlex is highly water-resistant, and it incorporates reflective and adjustable heel and instep straps that allow you to create the perfect snugness for your foot (while still allowing your toes plenty of room to splay).

Can Be Used with Other Natural Footgear

The Xero TerraFlex pairs nicely with other beneficial footgear, including Correct Toes, Injinji toe socksPedag metatarsal pads or Strutz foot pads, and Naboso insoles. Using this footgear in combination with the TerraFlex can help address or prevent foot problems such as bunions, crooked toes, plantar fasciosis, and ball of foot pain. Each Xero TerraFlex shoe weighs about 8.5 oz.

Note: If you are new to using Xero footwear, we recommend that you start in slowly, gradually building up your wear-time and giving your body the chance to adapt to the thinner soles and the increased workload on your feet.

  • To get the most out of your Xero TerraFlex shoes, the manufacturer recommends that you order your normal US shoe size. HOWEVER, because we recommend that women order the men's version of this shoe (to achieve the greatest possible toe box width), simply adjust the sizing down by 1.5 to determine the comparable size in the men's version. For example, if you normally wear a women's US size 8 shoe, consider ordering a 6.5 in the men's Xero TerraFlex instead.

If you're on the fence about what size to order, consider ordering both sizes and then simply return the size that doesn't fit as well for a refund. If you have concerns about sizing, feel free to contact us or Xero customer service.

Sizing Tip #1: To create additional roominess within the shoe, we suggest removing the included (optional) shoe liner/insole; this action does not, in any way, affect the performance of the shoe.

Sizing Tip #2: Correct Toes toe spacers will often add width and length to the foot. If you’re planning to wear Correct Toes with your footwear, we recommend sizing up, especially if you are on the border between sizes.
