  • A High-Traction Athletic & Transitional Shoe

The Astral TR1 Mesh is a rugged trail sneaker that is ideal for off-road adventures. It also works great as a “transitional” shoe for those making the switch from conventional footwear to more foot-healthy models. Comfortable, quick-drying, and with an exceptionally grippy sole, the TR1 Mesh incorporates a ripstop mesh upper with TPU overlays (to guard against abrasion) and water-resistant laces. This attractive shoe is a great option for hikers, trail runners, golfers, and watersports enthusiasts, and it also works well as a casual shoe for outings around town.

Level Footbed, Roomy Toe Box, Protective Sole

Constructed to handle a wide variety of outdoor conditions and terrain, the durable Astral TR1 Mesh boasts a flat support platform for your foot to rest and act upon and a roomy toe box that encourages your toes to splay the way nature intended. The foot-to-ground distance of this medium-stack-height shoe is 17 mm (without the 4 mm included insole), making it a great option for those seeking additional sole protection from sharp rocks or other kinds of trail debris. The mesh upper and built-in drainage holes of the TR1 will also help to manage moisture and keep your feet cool and dry.

Pairs Nicely With Other Helpful Natural Footgear

The Astral TR1 Mesh works great with other types of helpful footgear. Use your TR1 Mesh shoes in combination with Correct Toes toe spacers to promote optimal toe alignment and function, as well as with Injinji toe socks and Pedag metatarsal pads or Strutz foot pads to help rehabilitate your feet and improve your overall foot health. We also recommend replacing the included (optional) liner with thin, textured Naboso insoles. Each lightweight Astral TR1 Mesh shoe weighs about 10.5 oz.

  • To get the most out of your Astral TR1 Mesh shoes, the manufacturer recommends that you order your normal US shoe size. For example, if you normally wear a men's US size 11 shoe, consider ordering an 11 in the Astral TR1 Mesh. If you are between sizes, order up to the next available size.

If you're on the fence about what size to order, consider ordering both sizes and then simply return the size that doesn't fit as well for a refund. If you have concerns about sizing, feel free to contact us or Astral customer service.

Sizing Tip #1: To create additional roominess within the shoe, we suggest removing the included (optional) shoe liner/insole; this action does not, in any way, affect the performance of the shoe.

Sizing Tip #2: Correct Toes toe spacers will often add width and length to the foot. If you’re planning to wear Correct Toes with your footwear, we recommend sizing up, especially if you are on the border between sizes.
