Altra Golden Spike Blue
This size is currently sold out.
The Altra Golden Spike is a minimalist athletic shoe that can be used for both recreational and competitive running (as well as for hiking and golfing). This super lightweight shoe incorporates a wide toe box for natural toe splay and a flat sole from heel to toe to enable natural arch support. Possessing a sockless design and hydrophobic mesh upper, the Golden Spike keeps moisture levels in check and encourages airflow around your foot. This shoe comes with a built-in 5-pin spike plate, a bag of spikes, and a spike key that can turn it into the most comfortable cross-country (XC) running shoe ever constructed, though it works great as a road and trail running shoe without the optional spikes. With the lowest stack height of any Altra model (15 mm), the Golden Spike is a perfect option for runners and athletes seeking good ground-feel. This foot-healthy athletic shoe is compatible with Correct Toes toe spacers, Injinji toe socks, and Strutz Pro or Pedag metatarsal pads. Each Altra Golden Spike shoe weighs about 6.5 oz.
Note: Due to the nature of the materials in the upper, you may experience some color bleeding during the first couple of uses.
