A Comfortable, High-Performance Athletic Shoe
The Ahinsa Chitra Bare is a comfortable, lightweight, and foot-shaped athletic shoe that helps build foot strength and resiliency. With its fully breathable mesh upper and grippy rubber outsole, this supple, high-performance athletic shoe is ideal for road running, trail running, gym workouts, and other active pursuits. Handmade in the Czech Republic using high-quality, regionally-sourced materials, the Chitra is easily foldable and packable.
Wide Toe Box, Zero Drop Platform, Flexible Sole
The Ahinsa Chitra Bare is exemplary in its design, incorporating all the features that we typically look for in a truly foot-healthy athletic shoe. These features include a wide, anatomical toe box to accommodate natural toe splay, a completely flat sole from heel to toe to enable natural arch support, and a supremely flexible sole that allows your foot to function the way nature intended. The Chitra’s thin, yet still protective outsole also enables optimal ground feel.
Works Great With a Variety of Natural Footgear
The conscientious design of the Ahinsa Chitra Bare means that you can use this vegan shoe in combination with other helpful footgear to achieve synergistic foot health benefits. To get the very most out of your Chitra athletic shoes, consider using them in combination with Correct Toes toe spacers, Injinji toe socks, Pedag metatarsal pads or Strutz foot pads, and Naboso insoles. Each Ahinsa Chitra Bare shoe weighs about 6 oz.
Note: If you are new to using Ahinsa footwear, we recommend that you start in slowly, gradually building up your wear-time and giving your body the chance to adapt to the thinner soles and the increased workload on your feet.
